Creative Canton Music Studio

As a mother, grandmother and full time teacher I was feeling like I was doing the same thing day after day. I was enjoying my life but I wanted to do something different. Something for me to be able to say I am finally getting to do something I want to do. I had thought of many childhood dreams that I never fulfilled including tap dancing and continuing piano lessons. As I was exploring the Craigslist articles I came upon an ad for piano lessons. I thought about it for a while as it was on my “to do list” from childhood dreams. I “played” piano but was mostly self-taught after I became bored with lessons as a child. I finally decided that I would email this person and see if they were interested in teaching an old dog new tricks. I heard from a very delightful lady named Courtney who was ready to take on the task of trying to help me learn and unlearn my past. She has been such a delight to work with. I have been very happy with how I have progressed. She has a lot of creative ideas of how to teach as well as interesting suggestions on how to get past the hurdles we create for ourselves. It is a time to escape the day, the worries, the problems, the weather… whatever is making your day less than it could be…. And go to an environment where fun is all that is going on. You have to work at your craft but you will be amazed at how fast you can learn when you practice what you love.

Courtney is a very understanding and patient teacher. Because of her I get new opportunities to show what I have learned and get an amazing view from the wonderful world of music. Everything she does is to help you grow musically. She has created a place where it is very fun to play and learn. Along with her awesome teaching, I have never gotten frustrated. It is my favorite day when my lesson day comes. Very relaxing and fun. I tell my friends about it all the time. :D

Comments from the survey:

I thoroughly enjoy my time with CCMS, and Courtney is very good at jumping in when needed and sitting back when she feels it is right. I like that she doesn’t always jump at correcting, but rather allows me to find my mistakes.

I know that you are providing an excellent service. My daughter is happy, and she has already learned a lot.

My son just loves his lessons and has learned so much in such a short time.
